Calculation of cams for internal combustion engines
What does he do differently from others?
 Briefly explained

Of course, speeds, timing and valve lift are included in the calculation.
The big difference:
With KnockSoft, the shape of the cam is adapted to valve springs and weights.
On the one hand, the cam is designed so, that the valve train follows the cam safely.
On the other hand, the cam is designed in such a way, that the forces occurring to reach the target are as small as possible, i.e. that the valve train can just follow the cam without "lifting off".
If components such as weights or valve springs are unsuitable for achieving the target, valve springs are recalculated or masses are changed if possible.
Then the cam shape is adapted to the new components.
Result: A quiet, perfect valve train without unnecessary friction, safety to achieve the intended speed, safety from valve breakage, no pitting, no cam seizure.
The cam form is supplied digitally and can be read directly into a production machine.
